I was worried the spreader bar would be a cheap piece of pine that would snap. It's a solid, beautifully finished piece of hardwood. It's smooth, with no rough edges. It keeps the hammock perfectly open without any sign of stress. If you're worried about the spreader bar, it's heavy-duty and built to last.
